Regattes Royalles, Cannes on Tramontana
Since a few days I am in Cannes, France on "Tramontana", one of the 114 Dragons who will race a whole week here in France. A Dragon is a small keelboat sailed with 3 persons. Very interesting boat. A lot of trim toys to play with. The mast for example has 5 different regulations. The racing level is very high. Vele d'Epoca di Imperia on Kipawa
Yesterday morning I arrived in Impera where I sail Vele d'Epoca di Imperia, the biggest event for classic boats in Europe. Earlier this year I dayworked on "Kipawa" and I wanted to take the chance to race on one of these classics.

Trials in Portisco on a Swan 45
What does a sailor do on a lay-day? Right! Go sailing.
Me, Francesco and Lucas where invited to go sailing a Swan 45 in Porto Rotondo. It didn't look to good in the morning, but later on a thermal breeze kicked in and we went out for some tuning. After the last days on 118ft "Viriella", it was good to do some boathandling on the 45. We even did a peel from a symmetric to an asymmetric kite. I (...)

Maxi Worlds, Porto Cervo on Viriella
It's showtime in Porto Cervo.
All the maxi's are here. Head turners like "Wild Oats", "Alpha Romeo", "Maximus" and "Morning Glory". Most of the Wally's. Not only the latest, but also the legends like "New Zealand Endeavor" and "Steinlager". Plus all the powerboats and megayachts. A LOT of money here this week.
